Midwest Computer Recyclers and Velocity Micro team up for a Greener Minnesota

Velocity Micro has selected Midwest Computer Recyclers as there E-waste recycler of choice to provide collections and recycling under the new Minnesota Electronics Recycling Law. MCR, on behalf of Velocity Micro, will collect and process consumer electronic waste and turn them in to recycling credits so Velocity Micro will be compliant under the May 8, 2007 Minnesota mandate.

The recent Minnesota law is the result of the Midwest E-waste Recycling Initiative Policy signed by Illinois, Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota and Wisconsin. Minnesota is the first state in the Midwest Initiative to enact a manufacturer recycling law to provide a recycling path for consumer e-waste. The first year of the Minnesota Law went into effect on July 1, 2007 and ends on June 30, 2008. MCR will begin immediately to fulfill its obligation to Velocity Micro with collection events in the State of Minnesota.
