MCR Awarded Milwaukee's Great Lakes 2008 Earth Day Challenge

Midwest Computer Recyclers, Milwaukee's Largest E-waste Recycler, was awarded the recycling contract for Milwaukee's 2008 Great Lakes 2008 Earth Day Challenge being held at the Italian Community Center South Parking Lot on April 26, 2008 from 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM. The event is free or all City of Milwaukee residence who show proof of address.

Milwaukee residence will be able to bring old, outdated or non functioning computers, computer accessories and TVs to this event. The e-waste collected at this event will be processed and recycled in an environmentally safe manner by Midwest Computer Recyclers.

Midwest Computer Recyclers is paying 50% of the cost to recycle the equipment collected as a corporate contribution. In addition Midwest Computer Recyclers agreed to destroy personal information left on hard drive using their data destruction process. The collected e-waste materials will be transported to Midwest Computer Recyclers Facility located a 1200 Davis Ave, in South Milwaukee where TV's, Computers and peripherals will be evaluated for resale value or designated recycling. Equipment designated for recycling will be dismantled and separated before being sent to processors.
